"The Miss Universe Jamaica Organization wishes to advise the public that Dr. Gabrielle Henry, Miss Universe Jamaica 2025, experienced a fall from the main stage during the evening gown round of the preliminary competition ahead of this weekend’s Miss Universe Finals in Thailand," the statement read.
Following the fall, Dr. Henry received immediate medical attention and was taken to Paolo Rangsit Hospital. Fortunately, the statement confirmed that her injuries were not life-threatening. Doctors were continuing to conduct tests to ensure her full recovery.

Before the incident, Dr. Henry shared her positive experiences in Thailand with The Jamaica Gleaner, expressing her appreciation for the opportunity to represent her country and experience Thai culture.
"I’m doing well and I’m appreciative of all that this experience has been offering. It’s truly remarkable to be amongst 120 amazing delegates representing their countries, and to have the opportunity to experience Thai culture and hospitality,” she told the publication.
Beyond her participation in the pageant, Dr. Henry is also an ophthalmologist and the founder of the See Me Foundation, a charity focused on providing economic and educational opportunities for the visually impaired community in Jamaica.
Miss Universe Jamaica's statement also included a request for the public to send positive thoughts and prayers for Dr. Henry's recovery.

Dr. Henry shared her excitement after winning her title in August, stating, “Oh, my goodness, right now I feel like I’m on cloud 9. Truly, this pageant is built on a lot of relationships, the sisterhood in the pageant, I’m so grateful for my ladies who supported me along this journey. It also helped me to build a stronger bond with my family, thank you so much.”
